Big hair, big air! Davv comes from the alpine city of Innsbruck, and like most lucky Austrian kids, he grew up skiing in the Tyrolian Alps. His dad taught him how to ski as soon as he could walk and by the time he entered the University of Innsbruck as a Sport student, he’d honed his skills and perfected his technique to take his skiing to the high Alps

Innsbruck is surrounded by ski areas; glaciated valleys like Stubai and Ziller, and the steep chutes just above the city at Seegrube. So, while attending just the important classes, Davv took every opportunity to make the short drive off campus . Steep powder lines and long tree runs off the Nordkette was Davv’s training ground, and before he’d turned 21, he was off into the big stuff, skiing the chutes and peaks of Tyrol.

Davv was the first skier we sponsored at Black Diamond Europe, and when he got on the Verdicts, it was like those skis were made for him. We took him across the border into the Swiss Alps and let him loose, where he opened our eyes with fast and big turns in open steeps, and tight, technical skiing in the trees- not to mention stomping cliff drops with style.
